Shop Now

Because of their unmatched medicinal and therapeutic benefits, hemp-based products continue to make headway in the world of holistic health. Although CBD products and supplements designed for human use is nothing new, a rising number of cannabis companies are shifting their attention to four-legged users. Estimates reveal that U.S retail sales of CBD-enriched supplements for pets have been growing at steady rates, and the market is now worth almost $1.6 billion.

As hemp based products continue to make the headlines in both human and pet wellness, it’s become important to learn the actual health benefits they provide. Hemp based wellness products are either made out of hemp derived CBD  or hemp seed. While both are extremely good for mammal health, they have some key differences. Over the course of this blog, we’ll discuss what their main differences are.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed oil is created by pressing the hemp seeds until the oil comes out. In addition to arguably being the best source of protein there is, hemp seeds contain a number of critical amino and fatty acids that our body needs. They are extremely nutrient-rich and are amongst the easiest substances to digest. As only the seeds are used, hemp seed oil doesn’t contain any CBD that you’ll find in the flowers, stalks and leaves of the hemp plant.

Hemp Derived CBD Oil

This type of oil is usually drawn out from the CBD-rich leaves, stalks and flowers of the hemp plant. CBD oil contains concentrated amounts of cannabinoids that are exclusively found in cannabis plants. Oil extracted from hemp plants contains exceptionally high amounts of CBD, and almost negligible amounts of THC, the cannabinoid that’s perhaps the most well-known. In short, hemp derived CBD oil provides all the numerous health benefits related to hemp without any of the psychoactive effects that come from THC.

The cannabinoids found in hemp plants are the only natural compounds that have the ability to stimulate the endocannabinoid receptors within your pets body. Once the CBD compounds interact with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), the body is able to perform at the maximum levels of health.

Did you know that in addition to having anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties, CBD can also lower the severity of seizures in pets?

At Innov8tion, we offer pure, full-spectrum, hemp derived CBD oil products for pets.
